Introduction
Dr. Bryan McIntosh attended Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, WA with a Presidential Scholarship where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in European Studies with an emphasis in Russian. He also completed a full suite of pre-med courses during this time. Throughout his college days, Dr. McIntosh worked at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and later at the Virginia Mason Research Center, doing molecular biology in their cancer research laboratories. This valuable experience provided him with a unique insight into the field of medicine.
Dr. McIntosh received his Doctorate of Medicine degree from St. Louis University in 2002, and then moved farther east to New Haven, Connecticut to complete a five-year residency in general surgery at the Hospital of St. Raphael—the major teaching affiliate of Yale University. He continued his professional development and medical training in Long Island, New York where he completed a one-year fellowship in burn and wound surgery at Nassau University Medical Center. This program was also in affiliation with Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, the largest and oldest plastic surgery group in the United States. Dr. McIntosh continued with this group and completed a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery—performing all types of cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures.
