Introduction

Dr. James Chan began his education at the University of Chicago with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Biological Science.  He continued at the University of Rochester School of Medicine where he graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors.  Additionally, Dr. Chan had his Fellowship at Stanford University and Residency at The Cleveland Clinic.



Prior to working at Reviance of Portland, Dr. Chan was Assistant Clinical Professor at Stanford University Medical Center.  He was also an attending surgeon at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center where he performed facial reconstructive surgery on injured Veterans from the Iraq War.



Dr. Chan is a Double Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon. He specializes in comprehensive and minimally invasive facial aesthetic and reconstructive procedures for patients in the Portland area. He utilizes surgical techniques that require smaller incisions leading to quicker recovery, significantly reduced scarring and a natural looking, refreshed appearance. Dr. Chan’s skilled expertise delivers reliable, beautiful results for upper and lower eyelids, face and neck rejuvenation, nose and ear reshaping, lip and chin implants, and facial scar revision.

Dr. Chan was Assistant Clinical Professor at Stanford University Medical Center and attending surgeon at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center prior to entering private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. While at the Palo Alto VA, Dr. Chan provided care to injured Iraqi Veterans by performing facial reconstructive surgery.
