Introduction
Dr. Joseph M. Perlman is double board certified with the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Perlman received his Undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in 1972 and went on to complete his Medical degree at Brown University in 1976. Upon graduation, Dr. Perlman completed a two year Internship at Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Perlman completed his General Surgery & Plastic Surgery Residencies at Baylor School of Medicine in Houston, TX. Upon completion, Dr. Perlman continued his education through fellowships in Microsurgery and Hand Surgery.
Dr. Perlman is currently an active member of several professional medical associations which include: The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Texas Medical Association and the American Society of Bariatric Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Perlman served on the Breast Cancer Advisory Committee of Houston NW Medical Center, as well as the Women Helping Women Board of Directors and acted as Chairman of the Houston NW Chamber of Commerce Community Health Committee.
