Introduction
Allen. H. Huges is a Board Certifed Plastic Surgeon and has been in practice since 1965. He graduated from East High School and from there went to Rhodes College, or South-western as it was formerly called. After graduating from college, he selected the University of Tennessee Medical School because of the opportunity to play an active role in patient care and to have a more "hands on" learning experience. After medical school, and a general surgery residency of four years, Dr. Hughes was chosen from a field of 100 applicants to be part of an intensive two-year Plastic Surgery residency program in Kansas City, Mo. He returned to Memphis to go into practice in 1972.
In 1991 he served as President of the South-eastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Dr. Hughes and has served on the University of Tennessee Medical School faculty in plastic surgery. As a founding member of The Plastic Surgery Group of Memphis, P.C., Dr. Hughes is one of the leading plastic surgeons in the Mid-South.
Dr. Hughes is well known in the Mid-South for his expertise and skill in cosmetic procedures, now limited to face lifts and eyelid surgery.
