Dr. Boris Volshteyn is a board-certified plastic surgeon who attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he earned his medical degree, magna cum laude, and received training in general and plastic surgery. He completed a year of clinical research and fellowship in microsurgery and had additional training in cosmetic surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York City. Dr. Volshteyn continued his education with advanced training in mesotherapy in Paris, under renowned Dr. Jacques Le Coz, and in cell therapy in Lausanne, Switzerland. He also holds a Master of Science in applied human physiology from the University of Health Sciences in Chicago.
Dr. Volshteyn's research on liposuction safety, reliability of computer imaging in cosmetic surgery and effectiveness of newer techniques in facial rejuvenation (facelift surgery) have been presented at various national plastic surgery meetings. Because of his many contributions to medicine, he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the most prestigious national medical honor society. He has also received numerous recognitions and awards for his research, resident and medical student teaching.
