Introduction

Dr. Rick Pecunia has been Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1996. He is also affiliated with six medical associations including The American Society of Plastic Surgeons. His degree was awarded by Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He completed a plastic surgery residency at the Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

			Shelia Morse, R.N. Department Manager Shelia is the department manager for plastic surgery almost since the department was started in 1994. She received her nursing degree from the University of Southern Mississippi here in Hattiesburg. She also functions not only as manager but as clinical nurse, surgery coordinator and patient advocate, assisting patients with non-medical issues.
			Jessica Darnell, R.N. Patient Care Coordinator Jessica serves our department as Dr. Pecunia's nurse and surgery and patient care coordinator. She received her nursing degree from University of South Alabama. She is a member of American Society of Plastic Surgery Nurses. She is a native of Laurel, Mississippi and has worked in plastic surgery since 2006.
			Mandy Dedeau Patient Account Representative Mandy is our patient account representative for our cosmetic patients. She will be helping patients with cosmetic surgery financing and payment issues. She is also involved with the reconstructive patients, assisting Misty when needed.
			Jennifer Maskew Registered Medical Assistant Jennifer serves our department as a registered medical assistant. She received her degree from Moore Career College in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She will assist patients with post-operative care including wound care, recovery from surgery and assisting patients get back to their daily activities after surgery. She has worked in plastic surgery since 1999.
			Brandi Howell Medical Assistant Brandi serves as one of our medical assistants. She helps Jennifer with patient care, wound care and postoperative patient care. She also helps with surgery scheduling.
			Misty Martin Patient Account Representative Misty is our patient account representative (PAR) for our reconstructive patients. She has been with us since 2007 and works closely with the insurance companies, helping patients understand their insurance and claims.
			Deresa Sanders Receptionist Deresa serves as receptionist. She assists patients with appointments and keeping clients informed and comfortable until their consultation. She has worked in plastic surgery since 2004.
			Duran Baron Receptionist Duran also serves as patient receptionist in our office. She has worked in plastic surgery since 2006.
