Introduction
Enrique L. Gomez, M.D. has been practicing medicine as a surgeon in South Florida for three decades and is recognized as a highly trained and skilled cosmetic surgeon in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Gomez attended St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (1963-1967) where he studied pre-med/biology. A graduate of the University of Salamanca Medical School in Salamanca, Spain (1973), Dr. Gomez’ medical training includes the completion of residency training in general and vascular Surgery at the Mercy Catholic Medical Center, a Thomas Jefferson University affiliated Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he also served as Chief Surgical Resident (1976-1977). Dr. Gomez began his surgery private practice in Miami in 1977. Dr. Gomez is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Over the years Dr. Gomez has garnered affiliations with numerous professional associations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, of which he is a fellow. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons.
A pillar of the South Florida medical community, Dr. Gomez has served as Chief of Surgery at Victoria Hospital (1982-1992) and Cedars Medical Center (1994-1996) in Miami. He also served as the Vice President Miami’s League Against Cancer (1983-1997). Dr. Gomez maintained an office at Mercy Hospital’s professional building in Coconut Grove from 1977 until he established Surgeon’s Cosmetic Center and Med Spa in the South Miami/East Kendall area in 2011.
Dr. Gomez offers an extensive list of cosmetic procedures, including breast augmentation and other breast procedures, facelifts, liposuction, tummy tucks, and more.
