J-Lo’s got one, Beyonce shakes hers regularly, and many women want one all of their own. What is it? The perfect butt of course, and the newest and hottest cosmetic surgery trend is the Brazilian butt lift, which promises a higher, firmer, more toned and rounder rear end.

The Brazilian butt lift technique harvests fat from another area of the body, which is then transferred into the buttock area to fill out the butt cheeks, resulting in a booty worth shaking. You can flaunt your new butt in a thing bathing suit, or simply feel more attractive in sweat pants on the way to the gym.
Women often opt for the Brazilian butt lift because they want to improve the curvy appearance of the hips and buttocks, and/or because they want to achieve a more pleasing shape in the buttocks. Older patients over 50 often have the Brazilian butt lift to improve the look of behinds that may have sagged with age, and younger patients sometimes go for the op to balance out their new look after breast augmentation surgery. Some cosmetic surgeons will remove extra fat to the side, above, and below the buttocks to further enhance the Brazilian’s effect and make the butt appear more rounded and shapely.

Fat transfer, or fat grafting, involves taking fat from the lower back, hips, or love handles. The fat is purified, then it is injected into the rounded part of the buttocks, muscle layer by muscle layer. The injection of the harvested fat enhances the size or fullness of the butt.  Fat can then be taken from other areas around the buttocks, which is then injected into the butt’s center to fill it out further. The procedure may not be suitable for very thin women, who may not have enough fat in other areas of their body to transplant into the buttocks. Underweight women will normally be asked to return for the surgery once they have gained enough weight to make the Brazilian but lift surgery possible.

As with any surgery, the Brazilian butt lift has some side effects and risks. Adverse reactions to the anesthetic, infection, and bleeding are some of the associated complications. Though complications are not common, consulting a board certified plastic surgeon who has successfully performed this type of butt lift many times before is very important in order to minimise your chances of experiencing any of these. It is also vital to discuss your medical history and lifestyle fully with your doctor, because no matter how much you want the operation, some people are not suitable candidates for the procedure.
It is a good idea to try adopting a healthy, balanced diet and exercising before you go ahead with Brazilian butt lift surgery. A Brazilian butt lift can give your figure a boost, but you should always have realistic expectations for the outcome of any surgery. Not everyone can become J-Lo overnight! Consult the cosmetic surgery experts to ensure that you have the safest surgery possible, with the most natural, appearance enhancing results for you and your butt.
